Suffolk Concert Band Dress Code for Concerts

All members are supplied with a jacket, white shirt and bowtie to be worn for concerts. Members are responsible for the cleaning and safe keeping of their jacket, shirt and bowtie, which should be worn with the following:

• Black skirt or trousers
• Black tights/stockings or socks
• Black shoes

Jackets are always to be worn for a concert, unless in exceptionally hot weather conditions, where they may be worn for the opening number only. However, this is at the discretion of the MD.

Please do not wear your band-issue shirt for anything other than a band concert.

If there are any problems with your uniform, buttons missing, or you need a new shirt or bowtie, please speak to Angela.

 

2/8/10 - It has come to my attention that a number of the new bowties are faulty, where the elastic is coming unstitched and the hook is falling off. Please be aware of this, if this has happened to your bowtie and you are unable to fix it then please see me for a replacement. Many thanks, Angela.
