The minutes were adopted.
93. Matters arising from meeting held on Thursday 5th November 2009
There were no matters arising.
94. Rehearsal Venue
When invited for comment regarding Alstons, Roger said that he was disappointed with the outcome of the vote because from a musical perspective it is far superior to Holy Trinity. There were a lot more positives than negatives and it is unlikely that we will ever find the ideal facility for rehearsals and storage for the band.
Notwithstanding the member’s views, the committee felt that we should not completely rule out pursuing Alstons and would like to consider trying it for 6 months. The majority of the band was in favour of the move and many members have expressed their disappointment that the move is not going ahead. This will be discussed further at the next meeting when more committee members should be present.
95. Publicity
Christmas Concert – no posters done as yet. Tom and Toby were responsible for these.
Spa Pavilion – this will be publicised by the Charity, Woolverstone Wish, which is raising money for the oncology unit at Ipswich Hospital.
96. Uniform
The new shirts and bowties have been ordered and should be ready for the Spa Pavilion concert in March.
