There were no matters arising.

48.    Guest Conductor 2010

Trevor suggested that we should find different conductors for 2010. Within the band there are also some possibilities: Tom Rumbold, Don Young, Ken Blake and Chris Robinson. Simon felt that we should use John Whelton and Bernard Reader while we still can. The committee agreed to invite Bernard Reader to conduct the band for May, June and July in 2010.

49.    Publicity

i)      Spa Pavilion – Toby has been working on a poster. The concert will be in memory of Pat Wood.

ii)     Music on the Hill Woodbridge – Lucy Lennard will be publicising this concert.

50.    Insurance

Trevor will make a new inventory for the band so we can review what insurance we require.

51.    Uniform

A number of different hats were worn at Barham Hall but the committee agreed that since it was so hot this was acceptable. They also agreed that we should have cover if it is that hot again or play under the trees.

It has been suggested by Paul Blofield that we should buy a gazebo to store in the trailer.

52.    Rehearsal Venue

i)    Gordon will follow up his enquiry about Trinity Park. Henley is a possibility but there is a group that uses the hall for a period of 8 weeks on a Wednesday evening.

ii)  It was suggested that we place an ad for ‘Venue Wanted’ which includes storage, parking and is available on a Wednesday evening.

53.    Chairman

i)      Trevor thanked everyone who played at Pat Wood’s funeral.

ii)       Trevor suggested that we should arrange at least one social event every year. Gordon will arrange one on the 26th May 2010 at Henley, before Roger goes away.

54.    Musical Director

Nothing to report.

55.    Secretary

i)      Angela reported that she was disappointed that there had been no photographer at either Elmhurst Park or Barham Hall as planned and felt that we should have one at the Spa. Angela will contact Mike Kwasniak about this.

ii)     There will be no rehearsals for the first three Wednesdays in August and we will start back on 26th August.

iii)   Available Spa Pavilion dates  2010:

Sunday 4th April – Roger is not available

Saturday 10th July – Only afternoon available

Sunday 11th July – Possibly if there is no Saturday nights available

Saturday 16th October – No

Sunday 17th October - Yes

Angela will find out possible dates in March, and find out why only the afternoon of the 10th July is available.

56.    Treasurer

i)        When updating the signatories Mark paid for special delivery for Angela’s marriage certificate to be returned. The committee agreed to this expense.

ii)       We are no longer receiving any interest on the tracker account so Mark has transferred the money to another account.

iii)     Simon proposed that we purchase the glockenspiels that both Tom and Don have suggested, a triangle, a drum kit and service the band Tuba. The committee agreed to these expenses.
